This summer, Glasgow will host the UK’s newest and most exhilarating Jurassic-themed event – The Lost Kingdom!

Touring across four major cities, this unique experience will feature life-sized animatronic dinosaurs from the Triassic and Jurassic eras, offering an unforgettable adventure for families.

The Lost Kingdom is the only event of its kind, featuring over 50 spectacular dinosaur installations, each with moving parts and realistic features, Glasgow Live reports.

Visitors will explore the park's gardens and woodlands to encounter epic, life-sized replicas of some of the most iconic prehistoric creatures, including the fearsome T-Rex and the mighty Triceratops.

What makes this experience so unique is its incredible attention to detail.

As visitors walk through the park, they will witness robotic dinosaurs with moving heads, bodies that breathe, eyes that blink, jaws that open wide with realistic roaring sound effects, and tails and arms that swish and sway. It’s truly a walk-through experience that feels like stepping back into the age of the dinosaurs.

Marketing and event director Naz Kabir, shared: “The Lost Kingdom is an event that brings both excitement and education together. It’s not just about watching these incredible dinosaurs come to life – it's about learning from them too.

"We’ve designed the experience to appeal to visitors of all ages, making it the perfect family day out.”

The event offers a wide range of activities for both children and adults, and its educational value is a key part of its appeal.

As visitors explore the exhibition, they will encounter a variety of dinosaurs, including some lesser-known creatures such as the Protoceratops and Plesiosaurus. Each dinosaur installation is paired with an informative panel, providing fascinating facts and figures to ensure the experience is as educational as it is entertaining.

“We’ve worked hard to make this an experience that people will not only enjoy but also learn from,” Kabir continued. “For many, it’s an opportunity to get close to dinosaurs they’ve only ever seen in books or documentaries, and for children, it’s a chance to feel like a real-life palaeontologist!”

The Lost Kingdom also offers plenty of other attractions for families to enjoy. With a variety of street food and drink stalls available, visitors can fuel up during their adventure.

There will also be a merchandise trailer selling exclusive dinosaur-themed souvenirs and a fossil dig pit where younger children can play at being mini-palaeontologists.

“The fossil dig pit is a real favourite with the little ones,” said Kabir. “It’s always wonderful to see kids fully immersed in the experience, getting their hands dirty while learning about how fossils are discovered and studied.”
